A muragala is a carved guardian stone. You find them at the base of old stairways in ancient cities like Anuradhapura. They stand there to welcome you in.
That is how we see our job. Muragala Tours & Travels started as a small family business over 15 years ago. We love this island, and we like showing it to people properly, without rushing.
We are a tour operator and a tour coordinator. That means we plan the route, choose the right vehicle and driver, and sort the small things that go wrong on any trip. You stay in touch with us on WhatsApp the whole way.

When is the best time to visit Sri Lanka?
Any time of year works. December to March is best for the south and west coasts. April to September is best for the east coast. The hill country and cultural triangle are good all year.
Are your trips private?
Yes. It is just you and your group with your own driver and vehicle. Every trip can be changed.
Do you book hotels?
You can book your own, or ask us. We are happy to do it for you.
Can you pick us up at the airport?
Yes. Every trip can start and end at the airport or in Colombo. Send us your flight details.
Can I plan a long trip?
Yes. We have 15-day and 30-day packages, and we can build any length you like.
